EMPACT (European Multidisciplinary Platform Against Criminal Threats) is a EU initiative that includes an Operational Action Plan (OAP) with a focus on disrupting high-risk criminal networks (HRCN), including Albanian Organized Crime Groups (OCGs), through various operational actions and strategic goals. The course will raise awareness of the structure, operations, and emerging threats posed by Albanian organised crime networks operating in Latin America and the Caribbean and the work of EMPACT. Participants will explore the transnational nature of these criminal networks, their key illicit activities, including drug trafficking, human trafficking, and money laundering, and the latest intelligence, investigative techniques, and collaborative mechanisms used across the EU to dismantle their operations.
